The Staydry kit is used to remove moisture from your Telescope, Eyepiece and lenses cases. With the Staydry tubes, Silica Gel, changes color from blue to pink when moisture is absorbed.

Silica Gel is a non-toxic, non-corrosive form of silicon dioxide synthesized from sodium silicate and sulfuric acid and processed into granular or beaded form. Its active, interconnected pores form a vast surface area that attracts and holds water through absorption and capillary condensation, allowing it to adsorb up to 38% of its weight. The more you have, the more moisture is absorbed

Regenerates in your oven 250 degrees for about 15 minutes and your ready to refill your tubes again. Never replace, just regenerate and use.

Staydry is uniquely suited to all optical types of application, in that it will not release any of its absorbed moisture when exposed to higher ambient temperatures as others will. The moisture is securely held in and requires temperatures in excess of 350 degrees F to free the moisture. Other desiccants release moisture with any small increase in temperature.

Your kit consists of two tubes, two airtight jars and enough desiccants (about 6 oz) to fill both tubes twice. The Staydry kit is capable of handling small to large cases with one or more tubes. Each tube measures 1” x 4” and contains about 1.5 oz (42 grams) of desiccant. Compared to other desiccant products, the Staydry system you never have to keep replacing your desiccant.
